It’s Al’s 35th birthday, and he’s spending it with the Taylors. When he makes a wish by blowing out the candles on his cake, he reveals that he wished for a wife. Jill immediately knows of someone she wants to set him up with and puts the wheels into motion. Upon first meeting this woman, named Irene, Al finds that they have so much in common, that he decides to skip the courtship and delve right into long-term commitment. On the next day’s episode of Tool Time, he proposes to her on camera, however Tim, at the behest of Jill trying to undo her handy work, convinces him that he should slow things down, and re-dubs the proposal with an invitation to dinner, and some awful Godzilla jokes.

Meanwhile, Brad and Randy pull a prank on Mark to make him think that Isiah Thomas has responded to his fan letters, and will visit over the weekend for a hearty dinner of corn on the cob.

About Grunt Work
Grunt Work is a comedy podcast where each week we cover an episode of the TV show ‘Home Improvement’.

But it’s so much more than that; it’s an examination of masculinity, a time capsule, and “metaphor for how we live[d] in the 90s”. Often, it’s a descent into madness.

Is Grunt Work for You?
We recommend our show for listeners who enjoy comedic takes on pop culture, often veering into the obscure and highfalutin; the perfect blend of stupidity and wit.
