Jill Taylor (Patricia Richardson) is excited to attend the gala dinner celebrating her tireless work for the annual Library Fundraiser – but everything goes wrong at the last minute. When her neighbor Joe (Robert Picardo) is unable to secure the beautiful dress he promised to get her on the cheap, Jill has to wear an unflattering dress instead – and when they arrive at the event, she finds that the big picture of her in the lobby is an ugly image from her driver’s license because Tim (Tim Allen) didn’t take her picture to the photo lab until the very last minute. Jill is humiliated and furious at Tim for showing such a blase attitude about something that matters to her – until Tim makes up for it by making a new blown-up photo of her, along with a nice dinner.

Meanwhile, Al Borland (Richard Karn) shows his competitive side when he takes the boys (Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Taran Noah Smith, Zachery Ty Bryan) mini-golfing.

About Grunt Work
Grunt Work is a comedy podcast where each week we cover an episode of the TV show ‘Home Improvement’.

But it’s so much more than that; it’s an examination of masculinity, a time capsule, and “metaphor for how we live[d] in the 90s”. Often, it’s a descent into madness.

Is Grunt Work for You?
We recommend our show for listeners who enjoy comedic takes on pop culture, often veering into the obscure and highfalutin; the perfect blend of stupidity and wit.
